Retreating Tiger, bruised start-ups
> The quality of an investor as important as the money says the VC jungle law. That is why good VCs talk about bringing more to the table than just capital. More than networks, it is their insight into organization building that is extremely valuable. This is even more critical in a country like India which is really a very recent entrant into the start-up world. Can a hedge fund provide that? If not why is it that founders fall all over themselves to take money from Tiger Global, which has never pretended to be anything but a hedge fund?
