Older Women Are Being Forced Out of the Workforce

> Age discrimination affects women more than men. Why so? Women tend to be busy with bringing up kids, taking care of family in their 30's. They refocus with renewed vigour in their 40's and 50's. This is when the rampant age discrimination issue rears it's ugly head and becomes a huge bottle neck. Not only are women living longer they are also energetic and enthusiastic well into their 60's, often as a result of not having spent their entire life working. The burn out syndrome that we see in men might not set in here as women do take sabbaticals. Am happy that HBR has showed the torch on this "elephant in the room" issue.
